I have shared very simple method and easy vermicelli upma recipe which is a perfect light-weight Breakfast for your Morning.
This vermicelli upma recipe is so healthy that you can include this bambino upma recipe in your daily diet.
So now, let’s not waste any time and start preparing our healthy light weight vermicelli upma recipe.
Vermicelli upma recipe for weight loss Indian
so guys, vermicelli upma is made of wheat, rice, corn, some grains, salt and water mixture thin noodle. which is very healthy to eat in your breakfast. vermicelli upma recipe don’t need much ingredients to make it tasty, you can just add few ingredients and prepare it simple but super delicious light weight breakfast for your morning diet.
so in this blog post, i have shared very easy vermicelli upma recipe. so try must.
Ingredients in vermicelli upma recipe | Bambino Upma Recipe:
Ingredients quantities are according to 2 Person:
- 150 Grams Vermicelli
- 1 Onion
- ½ (half) Capsicum
- 2 Table Spoon of Fresh Grated Coconut (Optional)
- 2 Carrots (medium size)
- 3 Green Beans
- ½ (Half) Cup Green Peas
- 1 Table Spoon of Desi Ghee
- 1 Table Spoon of Oil
- Half Table Spoon of Salt
- 1 Table Spoon of White Urad Dal
- 1 Table Spoon of Chana Dal
- 10 Cashews
- 15 Peanuts
- 1 table spoon of Mustard Seeds
- 1 Table Spoon of Chopped Ginger
- 1 Table Spoon of Finely Chopped Green Chillies
- Lastly some Fresh Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
First gather all these ingredients for your healthy vermicelli upma recipe.
Then start cooking with below easy to understand and follow Bambino Upma Recipe.
Simple Instructions for Cooking Vermicelli Upma Recipe | Bambino Upma Recipe with Pictures:
Step 1:-
In a pan, Heat 1 table spoon of oil,
Then add 150 grams of vermicelli | Bambino in this hot oil pan,
And on medium flame, cook this vermicelli for 2 to 3 minutes to remove the raw taste of vermicelli,
If you have roasted vermicelli, than no need to do this step.
But if you don’t have, then do it for sure.
Step 2:-
Now add 1 litre of hot water in this vermicelli pan, because we have to cook it.
Don’t add cold water or normal water, it will take more time to cook and vermicelli also breaks in parts,
So add hot water only in this vermicelli pan.
- Add ¼ tea spoon of turmeric powder and
- Half tea spoon of salt in this boiling vermicelli pan.
This will give us good colour and taste.
Now if you have added hot water in this vermicelli for cooking,
Then it will take only 3 minutes to cook on high flame and vermicelli becomes soft also.
After 3 minutes, turn off the gas flame and now remove boiled vermicelli from the pan in a strainer and drain all the water.
And once more thing, don’t forget to add normal water on top of the vermicelli strainer; this will stop auto-cooking of this boiled vermicelli.
Completely drain the water from the vermicelli strainer.
Step 3:-
Now cut your vegetables like this shown in the image:
Let me remind you the quantities of our vegetables:
- Half finely chopped Capsicum
- 2 medium sized of perfectly chopped carrots
- Half cup fresh green peas
- And 3 fresh finely cut green Beans
And cut your onion also in finely chopped pieces.
Now let’s cook our healthy vermicelli upma recipe.
Step 4:-
Now in a pan, Add 2 Table Spoon of Desi Ghee and heat it for few seconds.
- Next add 1 table spoon of white urad dal and
- 1 table spoon of chana dal in this hot desi ghee
And on low flame, cook this dal for 1 minutes.
Now with this only add some peanuts and cashews in this pan and shallow fry peanut and cashew for 2 minutes on medium flame.
Once peanut and cashews are shallow fried for 2 minutes on medium flame,
Now remove them from the pan and keep them aside, we will add peanut and cashews later in this recipe to maintain its crunchyness.
Step 5:-
Now in the same pan, now add 1 table spoon of Mustard Seeds, mix it with ghee and let it splutter for few seconds,
Not turn the gas flame to high and now add 1 finely chopped onion in this pan and cook for only 2 minutes on high flame to remove the raw smell of it.
Now add 1 table spoon of finely grated Ginger and
Then add 1 table spoon of finely chopped green chillies in this pan and mix and continue cooking on medium flame for 1 minute.
Hear you can add green chillies according to your spice preferences.
Step 6:-
Now add our 4 finely chopped vegetables like green beans, green peas, carrots and capsicum in this pan,
And add few curry leave also here in this pan and mix and continue cooking on medium to high flame for 1 minute.
Next add Half Cup warm Water in this pan, mix, cover the pan with lid and on low flame, cook these vegetables for 3 to 4 minutes.
In this much of time, your vegetables will cook and become perfectly soft enough to move to the next step.
Step 7:-
Now add a pinch of turmeric powder and half tea spoon of salt in this mixture pan and mix it perfectly gently and continue cooking.
Now add 3 table spoon of fresh finely grated coconut in this mixture and mix it and continue cooking.
Adding coconut is optional, so if you have, then use, or skip it.
But adding grated coconut in vermicelli upma recipe will give you the good taste of coconut in vermicelli upma recipe.
Step 8:-
Now add those shallow fried peanuts and cashews in this mixture pan and mix it perfectly.
Step 9:-
Now add that perfectly boiled vermicelli in this pan and mix it gently, don’t be hard while mixing it now.
Now after mixing, taste a little bit of your vermicelli upma,
If you think, salt and green chilli spice needed, and then add now only,
Like salt and finely chopped green chilli according to your taste.
Mix it perfectly gently and on medium to high flame, continue cooking your vermicelli upma recipe for more 2 minutes.
Step 10:-
Now turn Off the gas flame and now garnish your vermicelli upma recipe with some fresh finely chopped coriander and mint leaves.
And also squeeze a lemon to get the nice sour taste in your vermicelli upma recipe.
After adding lemon, don’t cook it, or else cooked lemon juice gives you bitter taste.
Finely now your healthy light-weight vermicelli upma recipe is ready and now you can enjoy it in your morning breakfast.
