In fried chicken biryani, we fry chicken pieces with little marination to get crispy from outside and juice soft chicken from inside.

And we follow the traditional step to prepare chicken biryani.

But in fried chicken, we make our chicken pieces taste more better.

Just follow the below recipe, and you will get the best and delicious restaurant style fried chicken biryani recipe.

Ingredients in Fried Chicken Biryani recipe:

  • 5 KG Chicken
  • Salt
  • 5 KG Basmati Rice
  • 6 Onion
  • 4 Tomato
  • Oil
  • 2 table spoon of ginger and garlic paste
  • Half tea spoon of Turmeric Powder
  • 1 table spoon of Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 table spoon of degi mirch powder
  • 1 table spoon of coriander powder
  • 1 table spoon of cumin powder
  • 1 cup curd
  • 7 green chillies
  • Fresh mint and coriander leaves
  • Secret biryani masala powder
  • Saffron
  • Desi ghee
  • Black cardamom, green cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, shaahee jeera

Gather all these ingredients first, so that you don’t miss any ingredient while cooking.

Simple Cooking Instructions for Fried Chicken Biryani Recipe with Pictures:

Step 1:-

I took 1.5 kilograms of skinless with bones chicken pieces.

Wash chicken pieces perfectly and drain all the water from chicken.

Next in a separate Bowl, add these 1.5 KG of Chicken Pieces,

Then Add Half Tea Spoon of Salt and Half Tea Spoon of Turmeric Powder in this chicken pieces Bowl.

Now mix salt, turmeric and chicken pieces perfectly with your bare hands,

And now cover and keep it for marination for at least 15 minutes.

Tip:- when you go to shop to buy chicken, buy only small chicken, like no chicks, not big chickens,

Medium sized of chickens are delicious, try this once in your any chicken recipe.

You’ll get the best chicken pieces taste.

Step 2:-

Now take 300 Grams of Onion – 6 onions.

Now cut your onions in a perfectly thin slices, because we have to make Baristah.

So no thick slices, when cutting onion. Or else you can’t make perfect barista for your fried chicken biryani and also biryani gravy.

Next Take 4 Fresh Red Tomatoes and make a smooth tomato puree of it using mixer Grinder.

Step 3:-

Now Let’s Prepare Biryani Masala Powder First.

So in a mixer Grinder,

Add – 5 Green Cardamom Pods

Add – 5 cloves (loung)

Add – 1 Javitri (secret ingredient for best flavour and taste in biryani masala powder)

Add – 2 Cinnamon Sticks

Add – 1 table spoon of Cumin Seeds

Add – 1 table spoon of Coriander Seeds

All add these whole dry spices in a mixer grinder and make a smooth powder of it.

 

So this is your best flavoured and taste chicken biryani masala powder recipe.

Step 4:-

Now take a heavy bottomed pan or Lagan. (best bowl for Cooking Biryani)

I am taking lagan bowl to cook fried chicken biryani recipe.

So in a lagan, add good amount of oil like I have added 1 cup of oil.

Because we have to fry onions and in the same oil, we will fry chicken,

Don’t worry, after frying chicken, we will remove oil and take how much oil needed.

So don’t worry, just do, as I shared the fried chicken biryani recipe in this blog post.

Step 5:-

So in a pan or lagan bowl,

Add – 1 cup of oil and then add

Those perfectly chopped onion slices in the hot oil.

On high flame, cook onion slices, until they turn little golden colour.

Once done, now slow down the gas flame to medium to low and continue cooking onion until they turn nice golden Brown Colour.

Don’t cook onion more from this step, or else, extra fried onions will give little bitter taste in your biryani recipe.

So as I shown above in the image, cook onions until that step.

Once done, now remove from the oil and add all the onions in a separate paper towel bowl.

Cooking onions this way, you can make the best barista for your fried chicken biryani recipe.

Cooking onions this way, you can cook all the onions slices perfectly golden brown colour.

Step 6:-

Now in the same oil, turn the gas flame to high and heat oil.

And now add those marinated chicken pieces in this hot oil and shallow fry chicken pieces for only 4 minutes on high flame.

Note: – when you add chicken pieces in the hot oil for frying, make sure, no water in the chicken pieces,

When we add salt in the chicken marination, you can see water in the chicken, so drain it,

And add it in the hot oil and fry chicken pieces until you see chicken is little white or golden colour.

Don’t overcook chicken pieces, just 4 minutes enough.

Step 7:-

Now remove extra oil from the pan and u can use this oil again, when you cook chicken recipe next time.

For now we need only 4 good table spoon of oil in a pan, so remove extra oil from the pan.

Step 8:-

Now turn the gas flame to medium to low and

Add – 2 table spoon of Freshly Grated Ginger and Garlic Paste in oil,

Now cook this ginger garlic paste perfectly for 1 minute on medium flame to remove the raw flavour of it.

Next Add – Half Tea Spoon of Turmeric Powder in the oil

Then Add – 1 table spoon of Kashmiri red chilli powder and half 1 table spoon of degi mirch powder.

Add – 1 table spoon of coriander powder

Add – half tea spoon of cumin Powder in the oil

And now mix all the spices in the oil and gas flame should low and cook for 1 minute.

Step 9:-

Now add that 4 fresh red Tomatoes puree in the pan and mix perfectly tomato puree and spices.

Now turn the gas flame to medium to high and cook tomato puree for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 10:-

Now add that barista, which we have prepared with onion slices in the 5th step.

Add 2 handful quantity of barista in the pan and mix barista with tomatoes and spices masala perfectly and

Cook for 2 to 3 to three minutes on medium to low flame.

Step 11:-

Now add our biryani masala powder recipe, which I shared above in the step 3.

Add all the biryani masala powder in this gravy and mix perfectly and continue cooking on medium to low flame.

Now add perfectly whisked 1 cup curd in this gravy and mix and continue cooking.

Note: – don’t take sour curd, and when you add curd in any recipe, make sure, you whisk curd perfectly before adding in any recipe.

Step 12:-

Now add that 4 minutes shallow fried chicken pieces in this biryani gravy.

Now cook chicken pieces with gravy perfectly on medium to low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

So that chicken pieces can absorb the flavours of gravy in it.

Step 13:-

Now add 6 to 8 slit cut green chillies,

Some mint leaves and some coriander leaves in the chicken and

Mix it gently and cook on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

Finely, now let’s add 1 table spoon of salt in this chicken and mix perfectly.

Step 14:-

Now add 2 cups of hot water in this chicken and mix water with chicken, gravy perfectly.

After adding water in the chicken, mix it perfectly and

Now turn the gas flame to low and cover and cook this chicken for perfect 10 minutes.

You can see, chicken is cooked perfectly and it looks delicious.

Here add half tea spoon of garam masala powder and mix and continue cooking.

Now let’s step cooking chicken.

So turn off the gas flame, cover the pan with lid and now leave this chicken gravy for 10 to 15 minutes.

Until then, let’s move to the next step.

Step 15:-

So here, I am taking 1.5 KG of Basmati rice for 1.5 KG of Chicken Pieces.

So you also take same, because it is party time browww. Extra is always best in Biryani.

Now wash your basmati rice perfectly for 3 to 4 times with fresh water to remove the white starch from the rice.

And again add enough fresh water in the basmati rice bowl and soak rice in water for at least 30 minutes.

Step 16:-

Now let’s prepare biryani rice.

So first boil water in a big bowl, in which we can easily steam our 1.5 KG of Basmati Rice without sticking.

So in a boiled water,

Add – 3 table spoon of Salt for 1.5 Kg of Basmati Rice.

Add – 1 Javitri, 2 bay leaves, 1 Black Cardamom, 1 Cinnamon Stick, 3 green cardamom pods, 4 cloves and lastly add 2 table spoon of oil.

Add all these whole dried spices in the boiled water and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

And after 5 to 7 minutes, now remove all the whole spices from boiled water.

And now add those 30 minutes soaked in water Basmati rice in this boiling water bowl.

After adding rice in the boiling water, now add half tea spoon of Shahee Jeera,

Then add some finely chopped and mint leaves and then add 3 table spoon of barista in the bowl

And now mix everything and cook rice for 70 percentage.

When you steam rice, on first boil, check rice, if 70 percentage cooked,

Then it is perfect to prepare biryani now. So now turn off the gas flame of steamed rice.

Step 17:-

Now let’s come to the chicken pan and you see the oil on top of the chicken gravy.

That is Rogan, so take out some rogan in a cup, because we will layer this rogan on our Biryani.

Now add 1 cup of steamed rice water in this chicken gravy pan and

Add 70 percentage cooked rice in this chicken like a layering.

Next add half cup kesar mixed water on top the rice like as decoration,

Next Add sprinkle the Barista which we have made from onions,

Next add Rogan as a garnishing,

Then Add 2 Table Spoon of Desi Ghee, and lastly add 1 table Spoon of Kevra Water on top of the rice as a garnishing.

And now cover the pan with silver foil perfectly and on top of it, put a lid and then some extra weight on the lid,

So that no steam come out of the biryani.

Now if you don’t have silver foil, then you can stick dough around the bowl and then cover it with lid and cook.

Now turn the gas flame to low and cook this fried chicken biryani for 15 minutes on very low flame.

After minutes, open biryani pan and sprinkle some barista and mix gently and here you have your fried Chicken Biryani recipe.
